S17 Community Kitchen at Blk 57 Lengkok Bahru

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Sedap! I recently visited and ate at the S17 community kitchen at Blk 57 Lengkok Bahru.

The Nasi Padang was awesome especially the beef rendang.

Founded by Raymond Khoo of The Saturday Movement, this kitchen was started during COVID to employ several local residents. https://www.thesaturdaymovement.org/.

Our Central Singapore CDC, where I serve as mayor, is working on a project to locate local jobs for residents near their homes. Part-time, permanent, blue or white-collar jobs.

If you know of any ongoing job opportunities in other neighbourhoods of Central Singapore, please contact me or the Central Singapore Community Development Council - CDC.

In the meanwhile, please support Ray Khoo and the wonderful ladies at Blk 57 Lengkok Bahru, #01-489!

And if you are in the hood, do cross over to the opposite Enabling Village where several social enterprises such as @The Art Faculty, Soul Food and Professor Brawn Cafe are co-located. https://www.theartfaculty.sg/
