SCDF rises to the occasion again!

SCDF, our Singapore Civil Defence Force, has risen to the occasion again!

An explosion at a shophouse in Little India collapsed the back of 2 buildings. 6 were mildly injured and 2 received medical aid at the hospital.

I went onsite to offer whatever appropriate help my grassroots and CDC can render.

SCDF's prompt and solid response has once again ensured minimisation of risks of life and property.

Investigation is ongoing and I'm confident the root causes will be identified and addressed.

When fires or other mishaps happen in commercial or public housing, Singapore can always count on our quiet heroes in SCDF and other agencies like the SPF, BCA, JBTC and HDB to come to the rescue and bring things back to normal again. Something we can ill afford to take for granted .
