SG60 WeCare Art Exhibition @ CDC

Kicked off the SG60 WeCare Arts Exhibition @ CDC with so much joy.

I am really glad to join Minister Edwin Tong, my fellow Mayors and GRA Ang Wei Neng for yet another signature programme of the CDCs. (Yes, we do more than CDC and SG60 vouchers.)

The five CDCs and the National Arts Council started the WeCare Arts Fund, WeCare Arts Experience, and today's SG60 WeCare Arts Exhibition because we believe the arts are for everyone and should be accessible, especially to vulnerable residents in our districts.

Today’s exhibition is another step to bring the arts closer to the community.

This community arts exhibition is put together by over 760 artists from Social Service Agencies and Self-Help Groups—visual arts and performing arts by talents in the community.

What touched me most were the stories behind some of the artworks, for example ABLE’s “Tiled for Tomorrow,” where every tile speaks of hope and inclusion, and Jalan Besar AAC’s “Hands of the Nation” by our seniors, whose very hands helped build Singapore.

When we rally partners and resources, the impact goes far beyond the gallery walls.

Check out the physical artworks from 16 September to 12 October 2025 at National Gallery Singapore, Level 4, Supreme Court Wing, UOB Discovery Space. And view the virtual exhibition here: https://www.cdc.gov.sg/wecare-arts-exhibition-cdc/
