Commemorating World Alzheimer's Month with SingHealth

My late mother lived with dementia for many years before she passed away. She was tube-fed during her last days as she had forgotten how to feed herself. It was more than a decade ago. I now wish I knew more about dementia so I could have supported her better.
I am therefore happy that I can better support the cause of dementia in my public service roles now. By 2030, more than 150,000 Singaporeans and their families will live with the impact of dementia.
I joined SingHealth today in commemorating World Alzheimer’s Month—to help bring about awareness of dementia and support our national vision of building a dementia-friendly society.
Met amazing folks like Dr Rachel Ng and her geriatrics team, and Dementia & Co’s founder, Alison Lim, who contributes so much despite living with dementia herself. And so many enthusiastic healthcare and social support warriors.
