Community Sports Appreciation 2026: Beyond 50

Mighty proud that our quietly plodding Community Sports Network (CSN) team in Kampong Glam got recognised for its decade-long contribution last weekend!

Each quarter, led by volunteer Darren Chee, this CSN team identified and recce-ed beautiful nature spots all over Singapore to bring about 500 residents to. The logistical preparations have never been easy for the team but they did it for more than 10 years.

I have the joy of joining everyone each time and am so thankful for memorable engaging moments, to places we may never go on our own.

Such is the kind of amazing community engagement efforts, quietly and painstakingly done by our grassroots volunteers on the ground! Not expecting any trophies but still I’m so glad that the team is recognised by PA and Minister Edwin Tong, no less.
