At the Give and Take Market @ Jalan Besar GRC, I caught up with Julie, one of its regular volunteers.

Besides doing good herself, she brings her children along too.

Today they helped out as a family at the bustling Market which happened to be at the Kampong Glam CC.

Organised by Central CDC and Jalan Besar GRC, and supported by many partners, the Market supports lower-income families with kids, living in rental flats.

Instead of a one-way distribution, residents can "shop" for what they need — from daily essentials to household items and even toys and work clothes. Something for everyone in the family.
