House Visits @ North Bridge Road, Queen Street and Rowell
Last night I helped launch a hackathon for a group of young adults and students who will use their tech skills to do something for the seniors – will share that inspiring story another time.
But seniors indeed are of key interest in our super ageing Singapore.
Even the Active Ageing Centres’ (AACs) rapid growth is not fast or deep enough to serve them.
It will take all of us to ensure as many as possible will not be left behind – tough, but let’s do it joyfully.
My grassroots volunteers, plus agencies like JBTC, AACs and cleaners, willingly followed me in my regular house-to-house visits.
In the last couple of weeks, we managed to finish the last eight floors of Blocks 7 and 10 North Bridge Road, Block 269B Queen Street (remember the recent coffee shop fire?) and Rowell Block 633.
Step by step, floor by floor, and hoping doors will be opened and we can access those who need support.
Thank you all who are walking the ground in your own ways.
Have a blessed weekend.
