The Purple Symphony @ Singapore Botanic Gardens
This morning, I had the joy of watching our group of special musicians at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
They had often been led and instructed by their resident conductors.
For the first time, our musicians from The Purple Symphony came together to form their own performing groups, choosing the music, shaping the experience and leading it entirely on their own terms.
Another beautiful moment to see what The Purple Symphony has always been about. A community where over 100 musicians, with and without disabilities, come together to make music and be seen for their talent, not their challenges. Reminds me of why we do what we do at Central Singapore CDC — to build communities; to advocate for worthy causes!
I am so proud of how far our musicians have come.
Do join us for the full orchestra performance at the Botanic Gardens on Sat, 5 September, 6pm to 7pm, at the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage.
I promise you, it will move you.
