Another way to support residents - Jobs Nearby @ CDC!

Glad to join Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and my fellow Mayors and Adviser Shawn Huang at the launch of Jobs Nearby @ CDC — a meaningful way to connect jobs to residents.

Jobs Nearby @ CDC builds on and scales up our very own Jobs Near Me @ Central model — a hybrid online and on-site service that brings job opportunities even closer to residents by working closely with local employers.

In the next six months, we will add more Job Ambassadors, Job Clinics, and an expanded District Job Bank — and connect more residents to meaningful work opportunities near their preferred workplaces in a more personalised way.

Upstream, we’ll also strengthen the bridge between jobseekers and employers through upskilling and training support — helping residents prepare for sustainable, fulfilling employment.
