Digital for Life Festival
Super glad to join the Digital for Life Festival, part of the Digital for Life movement of Singapore, to help citizens of all ages embrace and learn digital skills to enrich their lives.
I am even more glad to meet our seniors and younger families at the festival, all learning through playing at the many partners’ booths. Fun yet educational!
Highlights for me are the new devices at the FairPrice supermarket (think smart trolleys and personal customer preference records); AI-assisted personal learning curricula; education tools for youths and kids (thinking of my Central District kids who need uplifting in this space), etc.
I am very grateful to CEO Lew Chuen Hong, who is also a Central CDC District Councillor (volunteer capacity), and his amazing team at IMDA; not forgetting my GRC anchor, Minister Josephine Teo, who is heading MDDI.
Singapore is one of the topmost wired nations in the world – there is much to be celebrated and, of course, much to ensure as few as possible are left behind in this digital era. I am glad IMDA is doing its part and reaching out through many other initiatives as well. I will partner with them as closely as possible to ensure my young and older residents are part of this.
