Lifelong Learning with Central Singapore CDC
I believe the secret to staying young and relevant is to stay curious, interested and to never stop learning.
Research backs it—and so does life itself. That’s why Lifelong Learning isn’t just a top passion of mine; it’s also at the heart of what our CDC offers through free, bite-sized (3-hr) SkillsFuture Advice Workshops.
As this year comes to a close, I’m grateful to what my SFA teammates have accomplished till date:
Nearly 300 free workshops
Over 10,000 residents reached
Topics that sparked real excitement—from AI and YouTube Content Creation to Life Sciences, Early Childhood, Digital Manufacturing, and more.
Participants came from all walks of life, young and old, each with their own story.
And me? This year, I learned to use AI more effectively to learn new skills and organise knowledge—it’s been a game-changer for me personally.
Two initiatives touched my team and I deeply:
Working with YELLOW RIBBON to support ex-offenders reintegrating into society.
Partnering with MENDAKI to help Malay/Muslim women return to work.
With technology advancing and new skills emerging every day, there’s still so much to do.
If there’s a topic you’re curious about, or a community you think could benefit from our SkillsFuture Advice workshop, reach out to me or my team. We’d love to help.
