House Visits @ Kelantan Lane

Feeling inspired and motivated tonight after my house-to-house visits at Kelantan Lane – simple folks; beautiful moments:

  • A young man who completed his Polytechnic diploma studies and National Service (NS) in spite of his father’s blindness

  • A twin girl who proudly declared to me that she topped her Secondary 2 class in three subjects

  • Neighbours of different races genuinely getting along – children and older adults

  • A polite and pleasant student of Pathlight School, a special school I co-founded

  • Young pre-schooler volunteer doggedly following father and us the entire night of scaling sixteen floors (twice)

  • Son who chose to be a caregiver of his disabled mother, wanting to photograph me and mother for a keepsake (for his mother)
