PACE - Singapore Gala Premiere

What a beautiful evening. My husband and I are thankful to get to watch the movie PACE, a heartfelt local film starring Desmond Tan, Zhu Houren, Joel Choo, SimonBoy and Zaki Hussein, and directed by Jonathon Choo.

It was the premiere night of a movie about people and a cause close to my heart.

Many supporters came to support including MHA Minister Edwin Tong and MOS Zhulkarnain and many from the local entertainment industry who obviously love the production team and cast.

The film follows a former drug addict who sets out to run a marathon in an effort to redeem himself. Desmond Tan underwent a 15-kg weight gain for the role; not to mention the superb acting craftsmanship of Desmond and the cast.

Second Chances, especially for former inmates, is one of the Causes that my CDC supports closely.

Our Central CDC's key offerings — Pass-it-On online portal for useful home items is a partnership with The Helping Hand; and the Better Homes refurbishment programme for families in need is a partnership with The New Charis Mission. Our inclusive Purple Symphony Orchestra performs with the Singapore Prison Services' talented performing groups.

Look out for the movie release on 8 October and take concrete action to support this authentic inspiring local production with a good cause!
