12th Council Appointment Ceremony @ Central Singapore

To further the mission of the CDCs, Councillors are appointed every 3 years to the CDC.

Yesterday, for Central District, we welcomed the 12th Central Singapore CDC Council.

It was encouraging to see familiar faces who have journeyed with us over the years, and many new ones joining us for the first time.

They are not staff and come from different backgrounds and industries — education (from preschool to ITE to University), business (MNCs and SMEs), media, IT, public service, sports, legal, finance, disability, healthcare, grassroots — to provide advice and support to our CDC's more than 50 programme offerings for our 1 million residents.

At the ceremony, I shared what we achieved in the last term; what CDCs do and not do; and Central CDC's priorities in the upcoming 3 years. Highlights of the sharing will be shared in a video when it's ready.

Thank you, Councillors (plus many other awesome partners of Central CDC), for sticking your necks out for the common good.
