JBTC Estate Improvements for Residents

Sharing a piece of Good News for our Waterloo Centre residents! And thanking URA, Jalan Besar Town Council, grassroots volunteers and other residents for making this happen!

There’s now a new sheltered linkway alongside Hotel Waterloo that shortens your daily commute to Bencoolen MRT and the nearby bus stops. Some residents said it saved about 10 minutes of daily walking each time to and from home and we are so glad.

There’re more exciting improvements coming up in this part of Central Singapore in the coming years:

  • a covered linkway across the road to Hotel Waterloo;

  • the upgraded Singapore Art Museum and;

  • the new city campus of The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) on the site of the former Rochor Centre.

And don’t forget the new Heritage Walking Trail that our CDCs and NHB had just launched in the city district as well.
