The Purple Symphony X Inmates from Prisons Joint Performance

I started this week inspired.

Our musicians from The Purple Symphony (Singapore’s largest inclusive orchestra) — with and without special needs — came together with talented inmates from the Prisons. They performed for other inmates.

This first-ever joint performance between TPS and Singapore Prison Service Institution A5’s Performing Arts Centre Band reminded me:

  • No life is beyond hope.

  • No talent should be left unseen.

  • Every person has something to give.

  • And it takes boldness to come together when our stories are very different.

Thank you to the Prisons Commissioner, staff, inmates, and our TPS & CDC teammates for making this possible.

Every person carries something of worth.

Sometimes, all it takes is a chance — to be seen, heard, and appreciated.
