Reopening of Rumah Makan Minang

I'm happy to help launch the reopening of popular Rumah Makan Minang after its beautiful renovation.

With many supporters like Urban Redevelopment Authority, National Heritage Board, Kampong Glam Alliance, Sultan Mosque, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Dr Syed Harun, my GRC buddy Dr Wan Rizal, Amrin Amin and many others.

Central Singapore District is full of heritage spots waiting to be explored, tasted and experienced! 72-year-old heritage Rumah Makan Minang is one such treasure.

The Marlian and Zin families behind it run this well-loved Minangkabau restaurant.

Across four generations, the family has preserved solid authentic Minangkabau cuisine. They are closely linked to another popular Sabar Menanti restaurant along North Bridge Road run by Iszahar Tambunan or Isz.

While Madam Zubaidah Marlian continues to lead the business and remains the heart of Rumah Makan Minang, the next generation children are actively working alongside her:
